With Bentley's 100th anniversary looming next year and the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition Mulsanne. It pays tribute to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley includes a part from one of his automobiles.
The special model which is available on either a long-wheelbase or regular-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed was influenced by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. used as his personal car. The influence of the car can be felt throughout the cabin as well as a Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet that features the display window which displays an image of the original crankshaft of the 8 Litre car that is displayed inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in the form of a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome application through the back of the vehicle. The signature of the owner front grille, a front grille that is modeled after the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and a chrome strip that runs along the lower spoilers left and right. The front grille has distinct design, featuring an aluminum shell that replaces the body-color mesh of Mulsanne. It also includes the Flying B Logo.
The key box is decorated with Bentley wings and features an black flock lining. Key pouches on their own can be bought to match or contrast the key box. The set of commemorative items includes a 1:18 scale model and a flying "B" paperweight. The set also comes with a printed booklet featuring never-before seen images of the original Bentley 8 Litre.
